In September of 2000, lifelong Palisadian Scott Wagenseller founded the first division of Gates Security, the Metro Division, which provides special event security and executive protection. Serving many high profile personalities and community events, such as the Palisades 4th of July Parade and Fireworks show.

In August 2001 the second division, Palisades Patrol, started providing local patrol and response service exclusively for Pacific Palisades. With two cars and two bikes, Palisades Patrol made a dynamic entrance into the community providing trained and trustworthy officers who know the community and the role in protecting property and people.

In September 2004 the third division, Gates Security Systems, was launched providing the much needed alarm installation and local monitoring. With the highest quality 24-hour armed response available and full alarm service, Gates Security is "prepared to protect" you and your home or office.
