Malibu Patrol
bike patrol teams can be deployed anywhere in 90265. Our bike patrol officers are California POST certified and trained by the Santa Monica Police Department. They use new Raleigh M80 mountain bikes that are specially equipped with additional gear for a patrol operations.
Each bike patrol team consists
of two-officers are dedicated to the specific needs of a commercial building, special event or neighborhood. Bike patrol teams can deploy from patrol vehicles or our centrally located office near the civic center. They have been especially useful for special events
such as the Palisades Americanism Parade and 4th of July Fireworks show. Teams have deployed for other private and public community special events in Southern California.
Patrol Officers must complete the state certified 4 day course in law enforcement bike patrol to learn how to operate their bike in congested pedestrian and busy vehicle environments.
